CATANIA
AMONG RELIGIOUS ORDERS AND CLOISTERED NUNS (1st part)
We are in the 12th century with the arrival of the Benedictine monks in Catania, they became very influential and suffered natural and political upheavals up to modern times.
In Catania only one community survived: the St Benedict cloistered nuns, testifying with their existence and resistance the uninterrupted presence of the Benedictines in the city.
Together with other religious orders, they guard those Christian values that often moved the threads of the events that led us all to where we are today.
Visit will be presented by local tourist guide Agata.
